Compulsion

‘Simon, do you want to go to the movies or something?’ ‘I’m going to a rage up at some guy’s bach…why don’t you come with me?’ ‘Why? To watch everyone get wasted? No thanks!’ She spat the words down the phone. ‘I see we’re back to our judgemental self, Kelly,’ Simon said, testily. ‘You’ve been know to indulge a little.’

His best friend is frustrating him, his dad’s having an affair and school’s a drag. Simon’s looking for something to ease the emotional load. Alcohol keeps his mind in a happy haze for a while, until the bubble bursts. Does he have enough guts to face his demons within?
